Such is evident throughout each Armani establishment, where guests are exposed at the forefront of distinct and unique pleasures. Commissioning an in-room dining system was approached with just as much creativity and diligence as any other project. Whom better than to collaborate with the world's leading in-room dining specialist, IHS Global Alliance.
Such collaboration reinvigorated the Butler System from IHS to deliver a fully serviced and ingenious concept, tailored to the requirements of their elite customer. The criteria set out to bring a sophisticated, personalized and classy service from the restaurant into an intimate environment. This accounted for the soft knock at the door and the fluttering of fresh table linen, as the waiter proceeds with an elegant dining setup and plating of a restaurant culinary creation with chilled wine served at the ready.
Armani had exclusive rights to the unit design for 12 months' post collaboration. Following this exclusivity, IHS has applied such elegance and innovation to deliver a universal system to the international market. Hoteliers are paying attention to the revival of in-room dining with such a versatile system, noting it should not be a compromise, but a memorable dining experience.
This has prompted the likes of Mandarin Oriental Group to call upon IHS for a customized, aesthetic and complimentary Butler System to suit their brand, service level agreements and customer demands. Working models are tailored to differing client needs, from this luxury soft hotel brand to high rolling casinos. Such setting the pace in sophisticated Casino in-room dining service, is none other than MGM Resorts. Identifying the point of difference in an untapped American market, MGM is collaborating with IHS to launch the first of its kind into the United States.
The Butler System is typical of the innovative approach from the designers at IHS Global Alliance with its unique modular design. Featuring multi-use units, mounted on precision casters for smooth delivery, the system caters for breakfast, beverage, lunch and dinner service. This stylish and fully equipped mobile service, comprises a hot box, an ambient cold box carrier, two nesting trays, a lid, wine rack, cutlery drawers and storage for glasses, plus four show plates. The unit also emerges in another guise at the cocktail hour, complete with wine, snacks, cocktail ingredients, cocktail shaker and ice in the cool box.
